Welcome to Pastor J.Rob Porterfield's collection of projects. Over the years I've had many careers, studied many fields, and worked on many projects.

In a "Church Music Education" class I took in Seminary we had to hand-write a paper entitled "The Ideal Music Minister." One of the sub-topics to be covered was "Organizational Skills of the Ideal Music Minister."

So today is a beautiful sunny day, wonderful weather, clear skies. Great day for a drive, even though my drive is to the church. But first I have to stop by Sears to get blades for a Craftsman grinder –

It was raining that February day in 1967 in the little town of Girard, Texas. The 90 or so 1^st-12^th grade students in Girard Public School where I was a 4^th grader were having after-lunch recess in the gym.
